Ridgecrest’s Nancy Smith Wins 2023 Supernova Award

Resident Care Director Takes Home Highest Honor

The Supernova Award is our company’s highest individual honor each year. The individual on the leadership team receives votes from their colleagues as the community’s Supernova based on various criteria.

The criteria that the Executive Team bases the nomination on upholding our company’s mission to be caring professionals dedicated to quality services lead positively with integrity, take accountability, put the team before themselves, and embody the company’s vision to create communities where people live longer, healthier, and happier lives. The team member who stands out from the rest receives its prestigious Supernova Award from our Executive Team at the Senior Living Communities Annual Meeting Purple Gala Awards Ceremony!

This year, we are proud to congratulate our Resident Care Director, Nancy Smith as the recipient of the 2023 RidgeCrest Supernova Award. Nancy is the heartbeat of the community. She establishes and implements Member care standards throughout care services on a 24-hour basis. This position oversees the documentation for Members in their neighborhoods, assigns Members to nursing assistants as needed, and assists in medication management and overall healthcare programs for the Members in an area.

Nancy started working here at Ridgecrest on January 2, 2004, as a CNA. As the days turned into months, turning into years, she knew this was home for a lifelong career. In 2007, Nancy went on to get her LPN and transitioned over to Director of Nursing in our Assisted Living; in 2008, she returned to schooling and obtained her Adult Home Care License. After receiving my Adult Home Care License, Nancy proudly hung her Administrator license in their Assisted Living, where it has remained since. “We exist to serve our members” are the best words any community speaks, and their follow-through shows this.
