a Signature Experience Event at RidgeCrest

RidgeCrest Members took a step into the heart of New Orleans, embracing the electric energy of Mardi Gras with the iconic charm of Bourbon Street during our Bourbon Street Signature Experience! The event was full of color, fun, and music just like the vibrant streets of New Orleans. During the event titled “Bourbon Street” Members danced, ate, and enjoyed classic drinks from the area making them feel like they were truly there.

Everyone came dressed in their best Mardi Gras outfit before heading to the wellness room for a Move Your Brass dancing class, where they learned to groove to classic New Orleans music. By the end of the session, everyone felt the music in their soul and were ready to take on the exciting events ahead!

After dancing, everyone had worked up an appetite and were eager to learn how to make the classic New Orleans dish of delicious crawfish! They did this during our Crackin’ Crawfish Demonstration by our fabulous Executive Chef Dianna. She did an amazing job guiding everyone through each step to prepare the best Cajun crawfish. Once they were done cooking, everyone got to season and garnish their crawfish just how they liked them. They turned out delicious and were the perfect treat leading into our Bourbon tasting.

It wouldn’t be a Bourbon Street event without trying a variety of bourbon, because nothing says New Orleans like a tasty drink. Did you know that in the 1820s New Orleans became one of the largest markets for Kentucky whiskey? After the tasting, it was time to go Down to the Bayou, where Members were met with gorgeous gold, green, and purple décor from mask to beads to so much more in our dining room. While enjoying a creole inspired menu, a wonderful jazz quartet played Nola inspired music.
